I'm a fan of Christmas commercials. They just put me in a good mood. But a lot of them can be the same old predictable holiday cliche.
That's why I'm always on the lookout for the best holiday commercials every year. Only this year, I have a blog in which to write about them!
So I hope this will be the first of many installments from now until the holidays of what I'll call "Coolest Holiday Commercials" (at least until I can think of anything more creative).
Let's start it off with what I consider to be not only one of the coolest holiday commercials this year, but one of the coolest commercials in general. Verizon has banished the "iPhone" to quite possibly the cutest place on earth, the Island of Misfit Toys (is that really a punishment?) due to it's spotty and unreliable service.
Since I always have "Rudolph" on a loop during the holidays, these guys have a special place in my heart. And I have to admit, when I heard the iconic song of the misfits coming from the other room, I squealed just the tiniest bit before realizing that this was not the classic I was used to but instead an insanely clever marketing ad.
So you be the judge. Is this one of the most creative (and cute) commercials ever? Or should my opinion be exiled to the island as well?
